The only problem with it being spring is that my Mistress is feeling more energetic than usual. I like it best when she feels lethargic and curls up on the bed with us reading a book. I am never happier than snuggled up to her on the duvet. Shadow is never happier than running round a field like a mad thing. Each to their own. I don’t expect Shadow to curl up and do nothing and I hope she doesn’t expect me to run round the field with her. Anyway, I wouldn’t say that my Mistress is exactly running round a filed but she certainly seems to have a bit more energy. If nothing else it does help her to deal with the ongoing problems with BT. Broadband might have been activated and they might be charging her for it, but that doesn’t mean it actually works. You really wouldn’t credit it. She rang their ‘help desk’ which she thinks is misnamed and was told they couldn’t’ check whether the line was active for ten days as they would be running tests on the line for that period. Ok, I can understand the tests bit, but how do they get away with charging you for a service that they can’t prove they’ve actually given you?

Meanwhile, you’ve got to wonder whether a certain eight year old might just be taking his computer game a bit too seriously as he is crying every time his character dies. I tried saying ‘it’s only a game’ but it seems that as with sporting events, this is not a welcome comment. Get a life. Play with the dog instead. I’ll appreciate you. Just think how much more satisfying it would be to throw a ball for me in the back garden! I’ll even bring it back every once in a while.
